Comparisons

Best new betting sites is the main shortlist. Debutants, meaning brands online for roughly the last three years, come first, followed by an established group as a benchmark. Each site carries a score out of 5 and its welcome offer in full.

New betting sites offers puts every welcome offer side by side with the terms that decide its value: qualifying stake, minimum odds, how the free bets are split and how long you have to use them.

Fast withdrawal betting sites ranks sites by the payout window each operator states. Useful if getting winnings back quickly matters more to you than the size of the offer.

PayPal betting sites lists the sites where our records show PayPal as a withdrawal option. PayPal keeps your card details away from the bookmaker and tends to be quick once a withdrawal is approved.

New horse racing betting sites and new football betting sites narrow the field to the sport you actually bet on, because a football-only free bet is worth little to someone who backs horses.

Understanding the market

New bookmakers is our licence tracker. It reads the Gambling Commission register and shows recent real-event betting licences, the domains listed against them and what a new licence does and does not tell you.

Are new betting sites safe? covers the rules every GB-licensed site must follow, the risks that are specific to new brands, and five checks to run before a first deposit.

White label betting sites explains sister sites: brands that share one licence holder and platform, and why that matters for welcome offers and complaints.

How we work and staying in control

How we rate new betting sites sets out the five checks, the formula and the data sources behind every score.

Responsible gambling lists the tools and free support services available in the UK, from deposit limits to GamStop.

How to choose a new betting site, step by step

There is no single best new betting site for everyone. There is, though, a sensible order to check things in, and doing it in this order saves you reading offer terms for a site you would rule out anyway.

  1. Confirm the licence. Look up the company and the domain on the Gambling Commission register.
  2. Decide what you will bet on. Football, racing or a mix.
  3. Read the offer terms, not the headline. Qualifying stake, minimum odds, free bet split, expiry.
  4. Check how you will get money out. Stated payout window and withdrawal methods.
  5. Look at the company behind it. Sister sites, track record, any recent change of status.
  6. Set your limits at sign-up. Before the first bet, not after a bad one.

Start with the licence, every time

Nothing else matters if the site is not licensed for British customers. A GB licence brings ID checks before deposit, GamStop, a 10x cap on bonus wagering and an independent route for complaints. A site without one brings none of that. The register check takes two minutes and our tracker of new betting licences shows the newest entries. Do it even for brands you have seen advertised, because a polished site and a valid licence are not the same thing.

Match the site to your betting

A free bet you cannot use properly is not worth much. Betano’s welcome offer, for example, is tied to football: you qualify on a football market and two of the three free bets are football accas and bet builders. If you mainly bet on racing, a racing-friendly offer such as Tote’s, which splits into £10 of racing credit and £10 of sports bets, fits better. Look at the sports guides above before you look at the headline number.

Read the offer like a contract

The headline amount is the least informative part of a welcome offer. Bet442 advertises £20 in free bets, but those free bets must go on Bet Builders with at least 4 legs at combined odds of 3/1. That is a long way from a £20 single on a favourite. Expiry matters as much: 7 days goes quickly if you only bet at weekends, whereas Bally Bet’s bet tokens last 30 days. Our offer comparison lays these terms out so you can weigh them against each other.

Think about the way out before the way in

People rarely check withdrawals until they need one. Stated payout windows on our shortlist run from 1 to 3 days at Bet442, Betano, BetMGM and Parimatch out to 72 to 120 hours at Tote and 1 to 5 days at QuickBet. Check also which methods you can withdraw to. On our shortlist, PayPal is listed for withdrawals at QuickBet, Bet442 and BetMGM in our records, while for others our operator records have no entry, which is not the same as a confirmed no.

Know who you are dealing with

A new logo can sit on an established company. QuickBet’s licence holder, L & L Europe Limited, already runs a set of casino sites; Bet442 trades as a White Label brand on Betable Limited’s licence. That is reassuring in one way, since the systems have been tested, and limiting in another, since sister-site offers can overlap or exclude each other. Status can also change: when an operator record shows a brand temporarily removed for GB, we take it off the shortlist until it returns.

Set your limits before the first bet

Licensed sites give you deposit limits and time-outs in the account settings. The best moment to set them is during sign-up, when there is no bet riding on the decision. It is a small habit that makes the rest of this list easier to stick to.

A last thought on choosing between two sites that come out level on all of this: open both on your phone and place nothing. The one whose bet slip and cashier you understand first is usually the one you will make fewer mistakes on.

Where should I start if I have never used a new betting site?

Start with our guide to whether new betting sites are safe, which covers the licence check and the rules every GB site must follow. Then compare the shortlist on the homepage.

How often are these guides updated?

The operator data behind our comparisons is checked against our operator records, most recently on 15 October 2026, and the licence tracker uses a register snapshot from the same date. Guides are revised when the rules or the data change.

Do you cover casino sites as well?

No. Our guides cover sports and racing betting sites only, and the ratings use sportsbook welcome offers.

Which guide helps me find a site that pays out quickly?

Our fast withdrawal page compares the payout windows operators state, from Bet442's 1 to 3 days to Bally Bet's 24 to 96 hours. Those are the operators' own figures, which we do not time ourselves.

Can I trust a comparison site that earns commission?

Ask how the order is decided. Ours comes from a fixed formula applied to the same five checks for every site, published on our methodology page, and commission plays no part in it.

What should I do if betting stops being fun?

Use the tools on your account straight away: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. GamStop blocks every GB-licensed site at once, and the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is free to call.
