The honest answer to “which new betting sites cover esports” is that it changes too often for any list to stay right for long, and our operator records do not include esports coverage per brand. So we do not rank esports betting sites by guesswork. What we can show is which welcome offers on our racecard you can and cannot use on esports, who holds the licence behind each brand, and how to check a bookmaker’s esports menu yourself in a couple of minutes. Esports betting, like all betting in Great Britain, is for adults aged 18 and over only.

Other esports guides tend to rank long lists of brands with a short paragraph each, and many repeat the same names with different scores. Some of them also list sites that hold no licence in Great Britain. Every brand on our racecard holds a Gambling Commission licence, and we label stated facts as stated. We have not placed esports bets or tested esports markets at any of these sites.

Welcome offers and esports on our racecard

Esports eligibility is decided by the offer terms, not by the advertising. The table summarises what each operator’s short terms say, as recorded according to the operator details we hold, checked 15 October 2026.

The scoreboard at the top of this page reads every offer on our racecard for esports, from the ones open to an esports bet to the ones that exclude it.

“No esports mention” means the short terms are silent, not that esports qualify. The full terms often carry a list of excluded sports or a minimum odds rule that rules out short-priced esports favourites. Read them before you rely on an offer for an esports bet.

How to check a new site’s esports markets

Open the sportsbook without logging in and look for esports in the A to Z menu, sometimes labelled “esports”, “e-sports” or under each game’s name. Then look at three things.

First, depth. A match winner market alone is thin. Better coverage adds map winner, map handicaps and totals. Second, events. Big international tournaments are covered widely, but smaller leagues and qualifiers are where coverage differs most between bookmakers. Third, in-play. Live esports markets move quickly and are often suspended, so check whether live betting is offered on the matches you follow.

Finally, find the esports section in the betting rules. It tells you what happens if a match is replayed, a player is substituted or the organiser changes a result. This matters more in esports than in most sports.

Signs of thin esports coverage

A few signals suggest a bookmaker treats esports as an afterthought. Matches appear only a few hours before they start. Markets stop at match winner even for big tournament games. Prices on the same match look very different from the rest of the market, or the maximum stake is unusually low. None of this makes a licensed site unsafe, but it may make it a poor home for regular esports bets. If a new brand you like is thin on esports, it is often better to keep that account for football or racing than to force a bet onto a market you cannot judge.

Esports markets at UK bookmakers

Counter-Strike 2

CS2 is the most widely covered esport at UK bookmakers. Matches are usually played as a best of one, best of three or best of five maps, and the common markets are match winner, map winner, map handicap and total maps. Round handicaps appear on bigger matches.

League of Legends

League of Legends markets follow the same pattern, with match and map winners plus game-specific bets such as first blood or first tower on larger events. Coverage peaks around the major international tournaments.

Dota 2

Dota 2 matches are often longer, and markets include map winner, map handicap and total kills on bigger events. Coverage of smaller regional leagues varies a lot from one bookmaker to the next.

Valorant

Valorant is the newest of the four to be covered widely. Expect match and map markets on international events, with thinner coverage elsewhere.

Age, safer gambling and esports

Esports audiences include many people under 18, and that makes this corner of betting different. In Great Britain, gambling advertising must not appeal particularly to under 18s, and licensed bookmakers must verify your age and identity before you can deposit. If you see esports betting promoted on a channel aimed at young viewers, or a site that does not ask for verification, treat it as a warning sign.

If you watch esports for hours at a time, betting in play can blur into the viewing. Set a deposit limit and reality checks before your first bet. Our responsible gambling page lists the tools and free support, including GamStop for self-exclusion across every licensed site.

Before you open an account

Check the brand against the register first. Our licence tracker lists the newest real-event betting licences with the domains each company declares, and our guide to whether new betting sites are safe explains what a GB licence does and does not protect. Then compare offers, terms and stated payout windows on our list of new betting sites, keeping in mind that most welcome offers there are built for football or racing, not esports.

Is esports betting legal in the UK?

Yes, for adults aged 18 and over, with a bookmaker licensed by the Gambling Commission. Esports markets at a licensed bookmaker carry the same protections as any other sport, including safer gambling tools and access to an independent dispute service.

Which new betting sites offer esports?

Coverage changes often, so check the A to Z sports menu of any brand before you open an account. Our operator records do not include esports coverage per brand, and we do not list a site as covering esports unless we can confirm it. What the terms do tell us is that BetMGM's welcome offer excludes esports.

Can I use a welcome offer on esports?

Not at every bookmaker. BetMGM's terms exclude esports from its welcome offer, and Betano and Parimatch require a football bet to qualify. Bet442's free bets are Bet Builder bets, so they only work where a Bet Builder is available on the match.

What are the main esports to bet on?

Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2 and Valorant carry the widest range of markets at most UK bookmakers. Common bets include match winner, map winner, map handicap and total maps.

Why are esports odds sometimes suspended during a match?

In-play esports markets can be suspended at key moments, or when a live data feed drops. Bookmakers also void or resettle markets if a match is replayed or a result is changed by the organiser, so read the esports rules section of the terms.

Is it safe to bet on esports at a new bookmaker?

Only if the brand is licensed in Great Britain. Check the licence number in the site footer against the Gambling Commission register, and avoid sites that promote esports betting through gaming channels aimed at under 18s.
