Low Deposit Betting Sites and £5 Deposits at New UK Bookmakers

Three bookmakers on our racecard take a £5 first deposit, but none of their welcome offers can be claimed with £5. Here is the smallest sum each one really needs, and what a low deposit is good for.

Smallest deposit, smallest offer stake

The minimum deposit each bookmaker states, next to the qualifying bet its welcome offer asks for. Where the bet is bigger than the deposit, the smaller figure only opens the account, not the offer. Recorded on 15 Oct 2026.

Low deposit betting sites are easy to find among new UK bookmakers: three of the seven on our racecard take a £5 first deposit. What the deposit page does not tell you is that £5 rarely unlocks the welcome offer. At every bookmaker here, the offer asks for a bet that is at least £10, so the real entry price for the offer is double the advertised minimum.

The board above puts both numbers next to each other. All figures are the operators’ own, from cashier pages and short terms recorded in our 15 October 2026 operator check.

Which bookmakers take a £5 deposit

QuickBet, the 2025 debutant, takes £5 deposits and lists £5 minimum withdrawals on most methods, so it is the cheapest bookmaker on our racecard to try and to leave. Betano and Parimatch, both established names, also take £5 deposits and allow £5 withdrawals.

Bet442, BetMGM, Bally Bet and Tote state a £10 minimum deposit and £10 minimum withdrawals.

Why £5 is not the price of the offer

The minimum deposit opens the account. The welcome offer has its own entry price: the qualifying bet in its terms.

  • QuickBet: £5 deposit, but the offer needs a £10 bet at 2.00. The smallest sum to claim it is £10.
  • Betano: £5 deposit, £10 football bet at evens. £10 to claim.
  • Parimatch: £5 deposit, £10 football bet at evens. £10 to claim.
  • Tote: the offer asks for only £5, but the minimum deposit is £10. £10 to claim.
  • BetMGM and Bally Bet: £10 deposit, £10 bet. £10 to claim.
  • Bet442: £10 deposit, but the offer needs a £20 bet. £20 to claim.

So a £5 deposit is a way to look around a new bookmaker, place a small bet and test the withdrawal, not a way to get the free bets. If the offer is the point, plan for £10, or £20 at Bet442.

What a low deposit is good for

A small first deposit is a sensible way to try a brand you have not used before. You can check how the app feels (our new betting apps page compares them), how quickly the account is verified and, most usefully, how a withdrawal works before you put more money in. QuickBet, Betano and Parimatch let you do that whole loop with £5 in and £5 out.

Two things to keep in mind. Some bookmakers apply a withdrawal minimum per method, so a £5 balance may not be withdrawable by every method; the board shows the lowest stated minimum. And UK bookmakers must verify your identity before a withdrawal, so complete the checks at sign up rather than when you want to cash out.

A £5 test run, step by step

If you want to try one of the £5 bookmakers before committing, the loop looks like this. Register and complete the identity checks first, because a withdrawal cannot be paid until they are done. Deposit £5 by a method that also appears in the withdrawal list: at QuickBet that is Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Pay by Bank or Skrill, all with £5 minimum withdrawals, while its standard bank transfer needs £10. At Betano and Parimatch every withdrawal method we hold starts at £5.

Place a small bet, then request a withdrawal of whatever is left, as long as it reaches the £5 minimum. The stated times are the same as for larger sums: 1 to 3 days at QuickBet and Betano, 1 day by card at Parimatch. Once the money arrives, you know how the cashier works at that bookmaker, and you can decide whether to deposit the £10 that the welcome offer asks for.

Keeping a small start small

Every UK licensed bookmaker must offer deposit limits. Setting a daily, weekly or monthly limit takes a minute in the responsible gambling section, and it is the simplest way to make sure a £5 trial stays a £5 trial. Our responsible gambling page explains the tools, and the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133.

For the offers themselves, compare the stake and the free bets on our new betting sites offers page. To see how fast each bookmaker pays out by method, see how fast each bookmaker pays out, and for every payment method on our racecard, our guide to betting payment methods.

Which new betting sites accept a £5 deposit?

On our racecard, QuickBet, Betano and Parimatch state a £5 minimum deposit. Bet442, BetMGM, Bally Bet and Tote state £10.

Can I claim a welcome offer with a £5 deposit?

Not at any bookmaker on our racecard. QuickBet, Betano and Parimatch take £5 deposits, but each welcome offer needs a £10 qualifying bet. Tote's offer needs only a £5 bet, but its minimum deposit is £10.

What is the smallest amount that gets a welcome offer?

£10. BetMGM, Bally Bet, Tote, QuickBet, Betano and Parimatch all need £10 in your account to qualify. Bet442 needs £20, because its offer asks for a £20 qualifying bet.

What is the lowest withdrawal at these bookmakers?

QuickBet, Betano and Parimatch state £5 minimum withdrawals on most methods. Bet442, BetMGM, Bally Bet and Tote state £10.

Are low deposit betting sites good for budgeting?

A low minimum lets you try a new bookmaker with very little at risk. Pair it with a deposit limit in the site's responsible gambling tools, which every UK licensed bookmaker must offer, so the small start stays small.

Do £1 or £3 deposit betting sites exist?

Not on our racecard. £5 is the lowest stated minimum among the seven bookmakers we list. If you see a smaller figure advertised, check that the site holds a Gambling Commission licence before you register.
